Synopsis:

William Kwamkwamba builds a windmill from old junk, based on a picture he found in a book. The windmill generates power for his family and the village. It is an adventurous journey from a home in impoverished Malawi to the renowned university Dartmouth College where he is invited to study. But together with the popularity, we also sense the doubt and melancholy of the prodigy, who tries to live up to his own and others' expectations. William and the Windmill is a fascinating tale of both the bright and dark sides of sudden fame, about life between two entirely different worlds.
