In every household, someone takes care of the chores, such as cleaning the house, doing the washing. But who is supposed to carry out all these tasks? Domestic Karaoke is a performance and an experience: three “couples” of women, one doing the housework of the other, are interviewed by the director, Inès Rabadán, concerning the complex organisation and hierarchy of a household.

After a degree in Philosophy and Literature at ULB, Inès Rabadán studied cinema at the IAD. Director of short feature films, such as Vacance (Holiday), Surveiller les Tortues (Watch the Turtles), Maintenant (Now), Si j’avais dix doigts (If I had ten fingers) and Le jour du soleil (The sun’s day), she shown her films at numerous festivals and was awarded at Clermont-Ferrand, Vendôme, Chicago, Aix, Grenoble, Brest and Namur. Her first long feature film, Belhorizon, was selected at several festivals. She is currently working on a second long feature film and finishing a medium-length film called Quand tu n’es pas là (When you aren’t here). She has been teaching for years classes of scenario writing and film directing, especially for Un été au ciné, Cyberfeminist working days, Article 27 , l’IAD or the Conservatoire Royal de Mons.
