The opening night was successful with the screening of the exciting movie As |
The festival wants to give the opportunity for the young people to discover documentary cinema, debate and develop their critical mind. |
This second week-end of the festival is devoted to filmmakers because they make the festival alive through their films. No less than 11 films will be presented on saturday and sunday by their authors. It is for them an exceptional occasion to exchange with the audience and feel live the emotion that their film provokes.
Because a festival is not only a list of films, we wish to give the opportunity to the documentary cinema lovers and professionals to meet and exchange opinions. For the filmmakers, it is the occasion to see alive the projects on which they worked during years, often in difficult conditions. It is also the occasion to highlight the Millenium Development Goals, often too little known.
The filmmakers present: Shaheen Dill-Riaz ( The projectionist - Korankinder ) , Jan Tootsen ( The New world ) , Christine Chansou and Vincent Trintignant ( Même un oiseau a besoin de son nid ) , Yonatan Nir ( Dolphin Boy ) , Joachim Del Passo ( El Sueño de San Juan ) , Sophie Bachelier ( Mbëkk Mi : le souffle de l’océan ) , Dieter Auner ( Off the Beaten Track - Abseits Aller Pfede ) , Silvina Landsmann ( Soldier/Citizen ) , Jeroen Van Velzen ( Wavumba )
