Synopsis: 

Besence is a remote Roma village in Hungary, where 98% of the population is unemployed. But energetic Mayor Ignác has decided to put his poor village on the map. He applies here, there and everywhere for funds, and he succeeds in getting money for two projects: a horticultural project and a tennis court. Things couldn't look any brighter and more promising, but the Central Eastern European reality works in more complicated and challenging ways...

 

Bio Director: 

Kristóf Kovács was born in 1974 in Budapest, Hungary. He graduated from the University of Miskolc on Faculty of Arts. After that he worked as cultural anthropologist and started several researches for his documentary films. His latest documentary, won the best director prize in documentary film section at the 39th Hungarian Film Week and had been selected several festivals. Men With Balls is his first documentary produced by international co-production.
