Bulgarian traditional dances will open the the 2013 Millenium Festival. For centuries, they have been performed at huge meetings in villages during which griefs were momentarily forgotten and people just happy to dance together for hours.

The group Svetulka was created in november 2009 with the goal of keeping the memory of Bulgarian folklore and popularising it outside Bulgarian borders. The dances represent all the Bulgarian regions with their own specificities.

The group is open to all lovers of folklore and dancing including very young fans with the goal of bringing people to share their traditions.
