The Festival has had the chance to welcome an honorary guest : the General-Secretary of the United Nations, Ban Ki-Moon accompanied by an official delegation and by Mrs Kristalina Georgieva, Commissioner responsible for International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid.
The General-Secretary of United Nations has expressed his support to the festival, it’s program is indeed dedicated to the Millennium Development Goals. The Millenium Festival wanted to honor Ban Ki-Moon by awarding him with « Objectif D’or », great award of the festival. This award was a symbolic gesture in the names of all the artists who contribute, with their creations, to put under the light the 8 MGD’s and deliver with strength and conviction a progress message.
